Sayre Prizes

We invite you to participate in the Sayre Prizes Great Improbability Contest by submitting an illustration or an edit based upon the audio drama and book excerpts that are available here. There are ten installments of the audio drama, with accompanying excerpts in pdf form, for you to enjoy and to use for your inspiration. These ten segments cover the first five chapters of the book.

Two $500 cash prizes will be awarded; one for a winning illustration, and another for a winning edit of the text. All illustrations and edits become the property of Sayre Productions LLC and as such cannot be returned. Illustrations and edits may be used in an upcoming illustrated edition of The Great Improbability.

ENTER FOR FREE! You may enter as many submissions as you like.

Please submit your contest entries as follows:

  1. Please fill out our Submissions Form.
  2. After we receive your submission, we will contact you. Make sure to enter a valid e-mail address.
  3. Read the book, listen to the audio drama episodes, then create your contest entry.
  4. Submit written edits via e-mail as an attachment in a Word document (.doc file extension).
  5. Illustrations may be submitted by email, as long as they do not exceed 5MBs. If they are larger than 5MBs, please submit them by using a free upload service, such as sendspace.com, or yousendit.com to upload your file and send a link to us by email, using that service. Make sure you include your e-mail address with this service. You may also mail us a disk with your illustration or edits.
    Illustrations submissions initially should be Web quality (RGB, 72dpi, jpg format), and if we decide to use your illustration, we will contact you regarding sending us a print quality image and usage permissions.
